Ignore lists: ignore threads started by a poster?

Recently I've had to use the ignore list function, but it's not really working in the way I would prefer.

Essentially: if I ignore someone I just don't want to see posts by them at all, rather than see that they'd posted but be reminded that I'd ignored them. Member in question seems to start a lot of threads largely based on the same idea, and I'm frankly bored. I'd prefer that when I add someone to my ignore list (and it's not something I use often) I just don't see their contribution to the site. Generally in my opinion they're basically trolling, so I'm not even interested in the responses of site members either.


Disclosure: I do not live under a bridge. Nor do I feel that the member in question shouldn't be able to express their thoughts if they so wish. I just feel that the ignore feature at present is largely toothless.

I don't think that the vBulletin ignore function has ever been the most functional of tools, but I'm in the same boat as Dave... I'm no expert.

So with that plug in then the ignore function will behave in the way described? I'd just assumed it wasn't possible!
This is the only time I have ever used it lol.

Cheers, will get that installed at home, but it'd be really cool if this kind of functionality could be rolled into the forum itself (I'm not always reading Hexus from a location where I could install scripts etc, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.)
