Please mark video content when linked from forum Latest Content side bar

Hi Hexus,

I'd be grateful if you'd consider making it obvious when a Latest Content forum link goes to a video article rather than a normal article page. At the moment the stories are all mixed in between videos which I can't watch at work, and normal articles, which I can read.

Maybe a video tag, or a border or watermark on the image accompanying the Latest Content short?

kal, do you get the regular HEXUS emails, not sure if that lists stuff like this.

Then I'd add the suggestion there as well if it doesn't (not for me personally though, I don't get the emails at work). At the moment it's the forum side bar Latest Content links that I used to use to browse main articles, but have stopped doing so since I can't tell which is a video and which is a written article.

On the Hexus main page, for example, these are marked with a little play icon on the picture, so it's clear - I'm just asking the same thing for the side bar which in my case is the main way I get to Hexus main articles.

I've asked Jon to see if he can add the prefix "Video:" to the feed that supplies the sidebar data.

Thanks Steve - though could you just use the same thing that you do for the main page?

The "play" icon is an overlay - not actually part of the thumbnail. We could probably do that too, but it might be easier to do it textually.
