Clip on mics for HEXUS.TV presenters?

Just a thought. At the minute in interviews there can be the awkward moment where the mic gets passed between the two people; someone starts to speak and it's quiet, or hasn't finished speaking and the mic gets pulled away. I'm guessing it would make editing more of a pain having two audio streams to deal with, but having the nice chunky HEXUS branded mic always in front of the person being interviewed should lead to a better quality video.

Thoughts from anyone who knows more about these things and HEXUS peeps?

Hire a boom op for the interviewee because it's a pain to wire up someone you're interviewing :D

That was why I suggested a clip on mic just for the presenter and carry on using their current mic for the other person.

It's a matter of what's easiest to setup. The TV guys have clip-on mics and booms and such, but when you're tearing around exhibition halls producing huge amounts of content, it's not very easy to have a boom mic following you around, and you need to set the interviewee up with a clip-on.

2 radio mics, problem solved ?

Hire me as your external audio technician? ;) I'll run around with a boom mic, no worries :D

Haha, yeah that would also do! I had just thought as the presenter would be 'always on' they could be permanently wired up with a clip on mic.
