When Do the mods delete things?

i am just asking , when the mods delete posts in the for sale forum as it gets quite annoying when i keep going into the same posts and quite allot have "mods please delete " at the bottom and it says in the rules that if you put that they get deleted

    im not critisising just wondering

think they get locked rather than deleted so the people doing the deal have something to fall back on if all does not go well.. but i could be making that up

We're not in a habit of deleting threads, they are left there for audit purposes unless they are duplicate posts. People may ask for FS threads to be dumped but that won't happen, the seller should update the title of the thread to say SOLD

    Subtitle here i mean :)

i thought that if you edit the title of a post it only changes the subtitle part (the bit which you see when youve loaded up the thread) unless you edit it within 3 minutes of posting...

    or is that a myth?

it depends. quite often we'll run a search on threads for such a phrase and close accoridnly.

but thats only on the FS forums.

If someone wants their own thread closed , then they are better off using the report thread option.
