Report Posts Quicker

Hi,

Sorry for the silly title, haven't had my coffee yet lol.

When reporting posts, having to wait 60 seconds is a real pain, at least 3 spam posts I saw this morning, I just didn't have time to sit around waiting for the countdown to go down. While I understand have a filter for regular forum posts I think the timer should be removed for when reporting posts.

If it's spam from the same user then you only need to report one of the posts, the mods will do the rest. And chances are several other people are reporting the posts as well, so don't worry about having to wait between reports - if you can't be bothered then just report what you can and leave the others

HEXUS appears top be experiencing a spate of spam right now and the Mod team is on them pretty fast, you do only need to report one and we automatically check the rest of new posts.

I'd echo that! We do look at all reports - sometimes not immediately - and consider each one for action. We usually look at all other posts by a the user, especially in suspected spam cases.

We really do appreciate these reports - it helps us keep the boards spam-free. I try to acknowledge reports that I personally action, but sometimes I don't have time (my bad) but that doesn't mean that they aren't valued.

No worries there, just sometimes you dont know if a post has been reported already and trying to rush to get them done lol

I think there is quite a few of us that report so I guess this is just covered by numbers

I can confirm that there's plenty of hexus regulars who report posts - I think the most impressive I've seen was one post that got reported nine time within 5 minutes of being made! I can only echo g8ina and peterb in thanking you guys for keeping an eye on the forums for us when we're not around and caring enough to want to keep hexus free from spam and inappropriate content.
