    Dropdowns going behind flash advert

    Im not sure if you know about this or if this has been raised before but the drop down menus on the main site are going behind that centre flash advert:



    im pretty sure it wasnt like this before, but i may be wrong. Its the same in FF,IE, NS and Opera. Thought i should point it out

    AFAIK they have known about this for ages and don't plan to change it..
    Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?

    It's not that we don't plan to change it, we can't. Flash always appears on top of everything. We did find a hack for Internet Explorer but we've recently signed a new contract for our advertising and we need to negotiate some changes about the ads that appear in the centre column under the menu to ensure they are animated gifs rather than Flash movies. That's why you haven't seen that issue on the site before.

    I did find a strange fix involving a lot of JavaScript but it's a nasty hack so we're going to deal with the problem at the source.

    The forum issue has been around for a while and unfortunately we can't implement the same hack there so you'll have to live with it.
