Why not have a 30 day trial period?
Add a sport section. If it goes big hairy balls up, then scrap it until such a time when it would be more viable?
Because it's a pain if people have linked to threads and so on and then we remove the forum and we get a barrage of "Why can't I see my thread ?" questions.

I really should learn to proof read my posts before hitting the magic button! I can't even spell 'when'!
