I use Chrome as my main browser, but recently I can't access Hexus forums using Chrome but they work fine in IE.
I can log on to the forum pages, select specific boards and even look at the new posts, today's posts and my subscribed posts, but as soon as I try and look at a particular thread I get a 404 Not Found error.
I've tried clearing browser history and cache but it is still happening.
Same here. I actually thought Hexus got attacked or something but seems like for most people everything is working as usual..
So, I'm not alone at least, and that most likely means the problems are something that I can't fix on my PC or browser.
How strange. It got to the stage I could not even look at this thread on Chrome, but I decided to log out and log back in and at least it seems that I am able to post this now.
Edit: And it posted without showing me the 404 page right after the post as it happened last time.
Not 100% sure if it is fixed, but seems promising.
I had it too - logout and back in. Seemed to fix it for me entirely.
I was getting nginx errors on almost every click before doing that.
That's weird - what nginx error was it?
Just a plain 404.
I could select any post link from the "New posts" page and i'd get it.
It lasted a couple of days. I actually thought I'd be banned or something at one point, but relogging fixed it entirely.
^ Same here. Including taking a few days to figure out and wondering if I got banned or something. I didn't spot the "New posts" part but it makes sense as I'd get a 404 after submitting a new post (and the post would get posted and would be the new post that locks me out).
Ah OK, it was most likely related to the server move. It sounds like logging out and in again fixed it so I don't think there's any action that needs to be taken
Excellent, logged out and back in, managed to get to this thread without any issues and if you're reading this then that means I have also been able to post without issues too. Let me know if you can't read this.
I had the same nginx 404s last week, cleared my cookies (effectively a logout) and it resolved the issue.
