It's be quite interesting to have Hexus do a written and video review on a product. Has it ever crossed the minds of the owners?

It's a big bad world of video reviews and a lot of already place 'champions'. I would be interested to see what Hexus could produce though.
One caveat, it has to be different. I don't want glamour shots and voice overs (ala hardwarecanucks), I don't want a standing presentation (ala LinusTechTips) and I don't want a sit down super detailed discussion about the tiniest of things (ala our lord and saviour TTL) because we already have those.
Perhaps small videos of the components to compliment the pictures on reviews would be great but I don't believe there would be much market for the typed reviews to just be read out.
I may be wrong however, and if I win one of those Fractal packs you can bet I'll be your beta tester!! :P
It's not something that can be done half hearted, the quality would have to match the Hexus written articles or else the reputation of the work they do could be weakened.
As has been said there are plenty of people/companies doing it and it's a great way of showcasing your main site and reaching a wider audience.
It has been done before, and for whatever reason, they decided to stop doing it. There used to be a fair amount of footage recorded in an office type studio and I quite enjoyed it if im honest. The Hexus.TV footage is just sales reps at tradeshows now.
Some of the other older members will remember this.

Fantastic!! I didn't see your reply and I defiantly hadn't seen that video before! Thanks!
So who are TTL? I'm loving PCPER at the moment...Quote:

I think the Hexus videos of interviews with various vendors during shows are quite unique and if we could get more of that it would make for more entertaining and informative videos than repeating the same reviews that various other channels are showing at the moment.
I genuinely think that there is a lot that Hexus can do on Youtube without becoming another hardware review channel and getting lost in the crowd, I would subscribe, comment and like the videos I watch and would post on them if doing so would benefit this community.
If this happens, I would like to point out the amazing competition. I haven't seen it all by all means, but PCPER and Paul's Hardware spring to mind!!
TTL = Tiny Tom Logan, great video reviews!
