404 on posting replies

I've accessed the forum frontpage a couple of times, but never managed to get any further. Getting to the forums at all was a rare sight!

I would normally agree, if some could connect and some couldn't, but I (and many others) was connecting and getting a 404 which is a response from the server.

It was totally down for me since last night, 404 every time. Main page was ok though :/

Good to see were back online, I noticed a database error last night when I tried to load once and since then just constant 404s with the occasional access for a few seconds.

Edit: All seems to be working fine this morning.

http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/storag...-cloud-ex4100/ is giving me intermittent nginx 502 Bad Gateway errors, I'm not sure if it's wider across the site.

couldn't log in or load the forums page other than signing in on an article and clicking through into the comment forum that way.

i.e www.forums.hexus.net when not logged in gives 404
but once logged in to post in an article comments section i can bring up that specific forum thread, and from there navigate to subscribed threads, and from there forums.hexus.net is accessible.

That is technically the correct response from the server as www.forums.hexus.net =/= forums.hexus.net.

www.forums.hexus.net implies a subdomain of forums.hexus.net, whereas the forum is a subdomain hexus.net :)


While that is why it is happening. It is a legitimate business case to redirect the www. subdomain of forum to forum itself.

you are completely correct, my bad, the error is however happening with http//:forums.hexus.net (which is what I had meant to type)

I've been getting 404's on and off most of today when trying to visit forums.hexus.net:

I also get a 404 when I try to visit /subscription.php without being logged in. In the past I'd get a message asking me to log in but now I get a 404.

Ditto. Just tried again. forums.hexus.net = 404
forums.hexus.net/subscriptions.php = 404
www.hexus.net is fine, but won't link to the forums (gives 404) unless I log in on the front (main hexus) page first - then the forums show just fine.
