ID-Cooling Hunter Duet
I have been waiting to see if anyone does a test review on this product.
Interesting watercooling solution, especially as they utilise 2 pumps on one AIO system, but I would prefer it to have a thicker (up from 27mm to somewhere around 40mm) 280mm radiator for better overclocking potential.
It could be a easy solution for mild overclocking both the CPU and GPU with just one AIO, but a test review and comparison with some other normal 120mm x2 AIO's set-ups would be a good read.
Could be good to use in a M-ITX system, as there are M-ITX cases on the market which can take a 240mm radiator.
Not sure how it would cope with a mild overclock, but you see a 120mm radiator being used on AMD 295's and the same size on CPU's. So it may cope to some degree. Especially as a lot of games I play really only tax the VGA and not so much the CPU. Please comment if you see it differently.
Also like to see if there is a refill port on the radiator. How the Vram and ram cope (don't appear to be any heatsinks in the kit, although easy and cheaply sorted through a third party seller). Plus how easy and well it fits to various VGA's (only seen it fitted to one unknown VGA card).
It has been on sale for a little while now at US$145 with free shipping off ebay, which would be a reasonable price if it works well.
Although I would probably replace the fans (38,2dB) with something like the Noctua Industrial PPC 2000rpm fans which are about 10dB quieter (at 29,7 dB), with about the same specs.
Or if you don't mind around the 40dB mark [to be best used in another room Ha Ha :-) ], you could upgrade to the PPC 3000rpm fans, which have far superior specs.
Anyway, look forward to hearing others opinions and maybe a test review.
