On Tapatalk it's a bloody loveheart!
Lmao is it?
I know they said a new forum is coming, hopefully will have one in that.
Thanks covers a whole spectrum from thanking for help/support/agreement to thanking someone for posting something you like - so I'm not convinced it's really necessary. I suppose it adds a degree of granularity at the expense of complexity - after all, we don't want to end up like a well known 'social media' site.
However I will raise the suggestion with the team.
Cheers Peter
Maybe do something like "Reputation" points, so your score can also go down if you constantly post something daft or offensive, or up if you are consistently helpful/interesting (like myself).
One day, we may place a LIKE but lets be honest, as my mate Ferral just pointed out to me, we do have a THANKS button which is, in essence the same
OK it's not CALLED a duck ... but if it has webbed feet, and a bill and it quacks...... it's gonna do a good job AS a duck ;)
This isn't Farcebook or Reddit, though. What's wrong with just posting summat like, "Nice one, chap"?
Unless it's going to be a competition and whoever gets the most Likes wins a Hexus t-shirt?
That's like assuming post count is proportional to the authority with which one speaks...
Same principle as people that just use thanks I suppose.
I think it came about when I was reading a post which I used thanks on, but thanks didn't really fit it, it really was a like or agree thing. And not sure its exactly the same thing.
If someone wrote Man its hot today, used Factor 50 to keep the sun off. Thanks would just look silly wouldn't it? A like or agree would be far better placed.
But still this is the suggestion part of the site, so thats my suggestion anyway :)
Then we will need buttons for dislike, disagree, ungrateful, ambivalent, and whatever other things we can think of... maybe some more emoticons, as well...
