Forum area colour themes?
Could the Scan forums benefit from a slightly different page appearance?
This week I blundered into posting on the scan support thread not realising it was the scan section (though I probably should have twigged, given the post). Is there a way to give it a different colour a bit like the gaming thread (red)? It might make it more obvious to people like me who didn't see the headers (eg due to browsing on a phone) and/or simply clicked through from the links in the "today's posts" section?
Edit: wait a minute - what happened to the red themes on the gaming forums? Have I imagined that?
Re: Forum area colour themes?
bump. just did it again and getting shot by peterb and bizarrely Saracen who must be missing being a mod after all. it's a similar fix to a dark mode: fit dark mode add button to users forum actions sub menu to toggle night mode on. binary option for a permanent switch from white v background to mid grey. only takes EF rest for users who are logged in. done. for scans area use mid blue permanently irrespective of logged in our not. stand out and obvious. I disagree that it if obvious at the moment. in not thick and on my phone screen it is NOT obviously a different part of the forum.

No, I don't miss being a mod in the slightest. Nor was I "shooting at " you.
A question was raised about forum differentiation and I just said what I think, which was that I find it hard to miss being in a Scan section, due to the flipping great Scan menu (and their logo) at the top of the page.
It's an opinion, end-of.
As for different section colours, if I was a mod I would have an opinion. As I'm not, I really don't care one way or the other, 'cos all I represent now is my own view.
