Hi there,
it seems as if the Hexus front page causes problems on my browser.

If I were you, I'd stick this in here: http://forums.hexus.net/forumdisplay.php?f=8 - you're more likely to get replies!
Back to the problem, does it only happen with hexus.net, or with other sites as well?
Have you tried using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer?
"Well, there was your Uncle Tiberius who died wrapped in cabbage leaves but we assumed that was a freak accident."
Yes, that's the crucial point.
It only happens with hexus.net.
All other sites are OK.![]()
To err is human. To really foul things up ... you need a computer.
@ yamagman
I don't use WinME and I don't use IE 5.5 either...
It is most likely a problem with your computer then, and a function that the Hexus site uses causes the problem to manifest itself.

k, so then how can I fix this problem ?![]()
one easy fix would be to use Mozilla firefox instead of internet explorer ?
google mozilla firefox and try it
Sure, but I love the IE.
Any other suggestions ?
May I ask why?Originally Posted by globalplayer

I had IE crash on me while on the HEXUS front page.
However, IE was running in the background (I was using it for testing purposes) and I was actually using Firefox in the foreground at the time.
I currently have HEXUS sat open in IE in the background (again) and it seems perfectly stable. So, I am unable to recreate the problem, suggesting there isn't a problem with my computer and that it's either your computer, or a problem that has now disappeared.![]()
Is it meant to be in German?![]()
Please let me know if this problem is still occurring as I can't replicate it. If you do report it please include
- screenshots
- full browser version information
- list of any browser plugins or toolbars you have installed
- how you access the web e.g. via an anonymous proxy or direct connection
- operating system (should be easy to work out in this case but you never know)
all this will help in ensuring we resolve the issue as soon as possible
thanks
Okay, I'll pay more attention, just looked like possible spyware with that Windows themeOriginally Posted by Kez
