this is a known problem with the layers function and the display of Flash ads.
You will see what I mean in the sense that it does not happen when a non flash ad is displayed.
Im sure Iain is already aware of this.....but it wont be fixed in this version...

There's nothing I can do about this unfortunately. There is a workaround for Internet Explorer but it's reliant on the owner of the advert adding a parameter to the code surrounding the Flash movie and since a lot of our ads are generated by Google and other companies using some javascript I can't add this parameter in myself. I have spoken to David and we are looking at ceasing Flash ads in this location to get round the problem.
There is another solution but it involves a large amount of Javascript which would slow down loading times and probably wouldn't work cross browser so it would be detrimental to implement it
