HEXUS.affiliate placement annoyance

Hi guys.

I've been using hexus for quite a long time and one thing that I really like about it is the logical and efficient layout of the site (not to mention the cool community and reviews). The recent includion of te HEXUS.affiliate link has really struck a nerve. I browse the site at 1280x1024 as many do and the placement of this button has shifted the 'post reply' and 'preview post' buttons off screen.

I know this is a realy small thing, but having to deselect the window and scroll down is something the quickly grinds. Is it possible to reduce the spacing to move them back up?

Ill see what can be done, in the mean time when you finish writing your reply you can use Alt + S to submit the meassage at any time....

I have done some tests at 1280x1024 and due to the top Google banner you cannot see the submit reply anyway, even if it wasn't for the affiliate link. Are you using a program to block adverts? (It really doesn't help us if you are).........

ok... i am so really truly confused... I read the post about the Affiliate thingy, but I dont understand what it it... I cant see a change on the forums at all? Can someone post a screenshot of what I'm meant to be looking for? :)

I started using Alt-S a couple of months ago and haven't looked back since. Alt-P will preview too if you're using the full post creation page rather than quick-reply.

The affiliates link needs to be somewhere near the textarea so that it'll actually be used. That's what will make moving it somewhere that won't affect the page fold quite difficult.

Is it just me or is the link not centered.

its centered accoring to the content that is centered on the page, its the fact the text area for the message is on the left that your eye naturally makes it out to be off-center.

thats because you have an over eager popup blocker that is even blocking REQUESTED popups, it works fine here in FF and IE.

Works for me though. Sure you've not messed up tab browser preferences or something?
