    Hexus Newsletter complaint of sorts

    Being a frequent visitor to hexus, I regularly read most of your articles. Like most people with email, I receive lots of newsletters and the like anyway, and seeing as the things in the hexus newsletter were not much different from those on the site, I decided to stop receiving the newsletter, putting me on the "blacklist". However, with the release of the latest newsletter, I see there are exclusive newsletter bargains, which I cannot access, and never will access, as I can't resubscribe, due to the blacklist. The thing is, I don't want to resubscribe, and not only do I find it unfair that I have to receive unwanted emails to access your bargains, but you are potentially missing out on revenue from affiliate link clicks from the many people like me who do not want yet another newsletter in their inbox.

    Please sort it out

    Whilst I understand your frustration, it does also lead me to believe you want to keep receiving the special deals we work hard on providing, and yet, not support HEXUS in its attempts to provide unique value to our newsletter segment.

    We want to support the people who support us by providing them with the opportunity to obtain specially provided deals and in future, access to much more rewarding information/deals.

    The deals that appear in the newsletter are specifically commisioned for that purpose, hence they do not appear elsewhere.

    You state that you find it unfair that you have to receive an email to access these deals, but we could likewise state that we think its unfair that you should ask us to sort out something that goes against the whole intention of the newsletter.

    We are trying to make HEXUS a better place to visit, a place you can enjoy as much as you choose to, my belief is that we are doing this, if you wish to access the information then we would ask that you take the time and have the patience to receive the email that contains said information.

    Should you wish to have your name re-added to the newsletter listings then please do reply to me here stating this and I will arrange for your email to be removed from the 'blacklist' (Please reply then send me a PM stating your email that you wish to have removed)

    I appreciate that you want me to support Hexus through the newsletter, but I don't understand on how me, and others, missing out on affiliate links for not receiving a free newsletter benefits Hexus, or myself and others. I am fully for supporting hexus and keeping it a free and enjoyable community, but in the end I'd rather not receive monthly emails with links to a site I already visit, and, sadly, if hexus misses out on important affiliate revenue, so be it.

    If that is the way you see it then I am sorry there is nothing I can do to change that. Firstly you need to understand the links within the newsletter do not generate revenue for HEXUS, so that basis of your arguement is completely unfounded I am afraid.

    We have to add value to the newsletter now and in future and that is what we are trying to do. As has been proved with the latest newsletter, it does not just contain links to sites you visit already, so again, if you don't want to miss out you will need to register for the newsletter again.
