Clicking a user name takes Firefox directly to the user profile screen

This isn't a new issue brought in with vBulletin 3.5.0, but as it is still present I thought I would mention it (I assume it to be an issue with the vBulletin core code and not the HeXus modifications).

When browsing a thread, each user's name is a hyperlink - when clicked in IE (7.0) this presents the pop-up menu with the options:
    "View Public Profile"
"Send a private message to [user]"
    "Find More Posts by [user]"
"Add [user] to Your Buddy List"

Each of these options is highlighted as the mouse passes over it and clickable to take you to a different page.

When using Firefox (1.0.7), however, clicking the name briefly flashes up the menu then takes the browser to the "View Public Profile" page immediately.

The "My System" link works identically in both browsers (maybe as there are no actual links on this pop-up menu?).

(I considered sending this directly to the vBulletin guys, but they showed absolutely zero interest in fixing the last issue I brought up with them so it would be a waste of time.)

    Not for me it doesn't

    Mine does a drop down.

Maybe you are caching something funny?

Works fine for me too. Same Firefox 1.0.7. Only when clicking on a users name on the forum overview takes me directly to the user profile pane.

You might be caching something - you need to make sure you do a ctrl + f5

It's not cacheable, Paul can you check if you get a JavaScript error, my main thought might be you view threads in a different mode e.g. hybrid and this has script which is conflicting with the script required to load the popup div under a user

Aha, it appears to be "TabBrowser Extension" that causes it.
(I have seen the problem on at least 3 different machines so I knew it wasn't a caching issue.)

Checked it wasn't a vBulletin user preference by logging out - problem still present.

Uninstalled TBE and now the javascript works as expected.
Will reinstall the extension and fiddle with the settings to see if it is specific to an option or the extension as a whole...

    Edit:
Bleurgh, standard install of TBE brings the problem back (though it may have "remembered" my settings I guess).
Interesting side-effect from the "My System" feature - if I click this to bring up the menu for a user then move my mouse over the username then it opens the pop-up menu without jumping to the profile screen.
And I LOVE the in-line editing feature of vB 3.5.0!
