OK, pretty wacky, but just an idea to further drive up journalistic standards and add value to hexus articles.
After spotting another silly typo in a hexus article, I was gripped by an urge to edit the article myself. Good grief, I wasn't serious was I? I wouldn't want to do the huge task of editing by myself. But wouldn't it be great if there was a mirrored version of the article that was somehow 'wikified' to let users edit and make corrections/insights themselves?
Of course, most wiki projects on the net fall foul of abuse, but Hexus has a sensible forum following, and it should be possible to restrict edits to members with say more than 50 non-spam posts, with the thread of banning for improper behaviour.
My believe is this would both improve the original article (from point of view of spelling, grammer and even just mistaken facts - there was a review where a sentance was improperly refering to a test which had been rerun with different results) - with such improvements possibly being incorperated back into the article under hexus editing, and possibly be another outlet for user insights and further comment in the wiki version.
