xfx advert for scan.co.uk - false claim worry

How wise it is to show an advert on hexus forums that states the 512mb version of the 7800gtx is 'in stock and shipping' followed by scan.co.uk?

Not sure if advertising standards apply to banner ads, or who has control over the content, but surely it's not very wise to claim something that isn't true?

The Main reason was it was shipping when they first got released ... it would be a pain in the backside to change banned depending on stock situations.

One suggestion would be not to use "in stock" in banners if it is not true all the time.

True enough, but that was the launch banner, propably people just havent had time to change it ..
