    Banners for the USA?

Not fair to put it in the title as their money keeps the site going but what's the point Newegg advertising on this site, mainly UK based if they don't want to sell to others than Americans and Puerto Ricans ?
    Someone please enlighten me.

Whats politically incorrect about that? There are a fair number of US users knocking around though, so its worth it, and i imagine they just say to their agency we want x number of ads on tech forums, hexus is a tech forum so there you go.

The newegg.com banners are targetted at the US audience of HEXUS.net, now if you are seeing them then this is most likely because you are going through a US proxy for your web browsing.

For example, if you are at work, does your network go through the USA? Do you still see the new egg adverts when you are at home?

HEXUS.net prides itself on its technology, and we have worked very hard to have a geotargetted advertisement system, but unfortunatly the way the world works is no system is perfect.

I have also changed the thread title as its not exactly accurate to your query

Was going through a Marriot Hotel Wifi in Paris. I named it politically incorrect because it's not really good to criticise advertisers... Sorry if I upset you all, I had never noticed it before !

Some people just like to throw the phrase "politically correct" about when they can't think of a better argument.
