    overclockers.co.uk and Hexus Trust

I'm sure this has probably be asked before but I can't find the post.

Why aren't www.overclockers.co.uk listed on Hexus trust as a retailer?

Firstly a bunch of members on their forum tried tried to artifically bump the rating... about 10 on the same day. But then they averaged out at about a '3' rating, before quietly vanishing. I'd assume it was a legal threat. The guy who runs it is a bit of a ******* ****.

Basically, don't buy anything there, no matter what. Scan seem to have good service, and that's always worth a few extra quid.

Funny in a way. I found OcUK before I found Hexus, and thought they were associates when I first joined... a pretty long time ago.

At the time, there didn't seem to be so much bad blood going around. Also my first encounter with Scan wasn't the best (had issues with their RMA at the time), and stopped me from buying from them until... late last year (gave them another go since they offered free shipping and were well supported here).

They seem pretty reliable now. I've bought quite a few things from them since, and it is close to spotless.

As for OcUK, I've not had to deal with their RMA service, so I can't comment there. I did have to RMA something I bought from them, but I went straight to the manufacturers. Speaking, of which, I'll make a new thread on this.

I hear so many bad things about OCuk, just not worth the hassle of buying from those guys

Hmmm...I thought it might be something dodgy.

You should see the OCuk comments on Romulus 2
