the ratings system is there for people to give their opinion. Ratings will only be removed under extreme conditions and having looked at the one you are no doubt referring to then there is no reason to remove it.
Anyone who reads your profile can see this is a one-off.
Surely something can be done!
I havent technically done anything wrong apart from changing my email address which was 3-4 months ago:rolleyes:
+ the guy obviously had enough time to write the rating but not to click the email button on hexus? + how the hell did he know it was me! considering someone else could have re-used the name jack when the system went down!?

As stated in your comments this trade started on the OCUK forum. You merely used the Hexus Trust system as an addition to the services that OCUK offered. Therefore, we have no way of knowing what was sold or said during the trade. In addition, it is entirely possible that the other party didn't use the email functionality in Hexus on the basis that they already had your email address which you weren't responding to. How were they supposed to know the one on your Hexus account was different as we encrypt addresses ? Or did the sale involve a crystal ball as wellQuote:

The username Jack was never lost when the system went down, it was successfully migrated to the new system. Therefore the other party naturally assumed it was the same person. You have confirmed that you are the correct person with your responseQuote:

Thats exactly what the trust system is about, people's opinions of each other. You have rated him a 1 as well so you have both stated opinions. Neither opinion seems unjustified to me based on the facts I can read. Therefore the ratings stand. As I said before, you still look like a trusworthy trader and your other comments reflect thatQuote:

Since recieving the bad coment i have gone to my old email acount and checked for his email's, He states that the drive wasn't tested upon arrival - it was tested by me and was working! im not stating he is lying but there are other possiblities for the dead hdd!Quote:

Yeah it did have a crystal ball in there as well :D No seriously my OCUK trader account was good and even he gave me a good coment regarding the goods, as for him not checking the email then fair enough but like ive said this trade was around 4-5months ago and like we all know things can change.Quote:
