Doesn't work with opera.
Menus disappear when I remove the mouse from the buttons.
/edit - menus are always docked to the left of the row of buttons, rather than appearing below, as with IE.
what version of opera ? The latest version works fine
<rant>bollox to Opera and its crap CSS support</rant>
Actually it's usually not too bad but in this instance it's just annoying. I don't have Opera but I'll see if I can get round to installing it. You should still be able to get to any content on the site from the top level menu so it's not a complete disaster. Excuses aside, I'll see what I can do
I hate to mention it, but the menus don't work completely in Mozilla 1.5 (Linux) or Netscape 7.1 (Win32) in as much as although you can click on elements in the menus, nothing actually happens e.g. it doesn't open the link.Originally posted by Az

Works fine in Mozilla Firebird 0.7 which afaik is the same as Mozilla 1.5. The links are just normal a href links so there should be no issue. If you click on the white background then yes nothing will happen. If you click on the text of the link then it will work.
If you still have an issue after trying that then let me know
I've installed Opera and will look at the issue that has been raised
At least in Opera 7.23 the links work if you can click them.Originally posted by chiller2

It is just that you can't click in the "trust" & "about us" menus as they disappear before you can get to them![]()
You're quite right re: Firebird 0.7, hence I hadn't mentioned a fault there. I did actually click on both the text and the white area around it prior to my original post, and the URL does show in the status bar, it just doesn't do anything once you click on it. I've not tried in the Moz 1.6 builds yet, but will let you know.Originally posted by Az

Just confirmed on Mozilla 1.5 on Windoze the menu system works fine. I know you said Linux but I can't think of a reason why it would be any different as the links are just normal text links, they're not even images.
Can you please refresh the cache and make sure that the site wasn't just on a go slow at the time. Thanks
The cache isn't the issue, although I did clear it anyway, to no avail.Originally posted by Az

My version - Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.5) Gecko/20031007 on X 4.2.1 + Gnome 2.4 + kernel 2.6.0
I'll let you know how 1.6b on Linux does.
FYI, the links work in Moz 1.6b (Linux)![]()
Thanks for the feedback. I can't think of a single reason why it would work on 1.5 in Windows and not Linux unless there is a fundamental CSS difference in the binary for the two operating systems. Cross browser support will be the bane of the web developers life for a long time to come......
I've tried the following:
IE through MYIE2: works fine.
Opera 6.23: drop downs stay hard left.
Firebird 0.6.1: drop downs go underneath the flash banner.
Firebird 0.7: Same as 0.6.1
I tried looking at the source code but my brain started hurting.
On a side note why have drop downs? some only have one link and others a maximum of 3. Maybe even just adding the review sub categories in to the review menu. Oh well at least you haven't added layers to the side menu as well.
P.s. Opera 7.23 is the current release, all higher versions are beta ONLY.

I'm looking at the Opera problem
There's a hack in place to make the menu go above the Flash banners in IE. Unfortunately the hack doesn't work in Mozilla due to it's compliance. This is down to Flash completely ignoring any z-index properties.....
The options in the drop downs will increase with future site changes. They are there at the moment to get the structure in place
