    Hexus Ads.

Before the Admins hit delete, I'm not going to complain about the ads. I use this service, which I like, for free and am happy to put up with adverts like I do whilst watching TV. (At least the bit which doesn't force a draconian tax on me).

BUT. Can you not filter what is advertsised? As a technology site, I was disappointed to see an advert for STARWARE, a product I've had the 'pleasure' of removing from many, many machines.

    Just a thought.

I can't directly speak for David , but we don't always have full control over sites advertised. If there is a problem with an ad , I think it can be brought up. As this one will.

Can you post a screen shot of the ad ?

I'm not going to delete the thread , but I will move it to the suggestions forum ,where this material is usually delt with.

So long as the adverts stay as they are now and don't turn into fat XXX posters everywhere then I'm not bothered.

It was a Google ad, so I don't know if you can filter anything. I, as stated, find the ads ok, but I hate STARWARE as I hate ALL spyware.

I doubt anyone on these forums is dumb enough to install it, but I thought I'd bring it up anyway, as a conflict of interests!

    Guys,

We work as hard as we can here, and HEXUS supports around 15 fulltime people

We are really smart with our ads - as I am sure most of you can tell

I am sorry if a Google had a dodgy keyword ad - we have some sweet ass campaigns coming up soon which no doubt will resolve most of the Google comments.

If you do find one which is "offensive" - please screenshot and email it in to support@HEXUS.net stating which country from the world you are viewing from

I don't mind the feedback - but I am shocked some people have (even in banter) commented about the possibility of XXX adverts.

    DR

I also have 1 ad I'd like to complain about. There had been an ad around recently that blinks between black and white that makes it very difficult to view the content. While I understand ads need to grab your attention, it should not be to the point where you try to read the text next to it really fast so you can scroll down to get it off the screen.

Sometimes (about 10 times now) ill go to Hexus.net then go to say a new review. The page will load then redirect to a site called "Errorsafe" but the connection is reset and the page doesnt load.

I dont mind ad's i know they are needed and provide good revenue, but redirecting away from Hexus surely isnt good. And it doesnt even redirect properly. Ill get some screenies and report to support.
