I'm trying to balance several things

    - Cost
    - Time to fit/effort

I have an Ikea one here and cutting it would be a PITA

However... someone sent me this link:

    http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.100-4394.aspx

Which appear to hit the nail on the head

Re: Anyone know where to get wooden blinds?

Hello there. Just bumping this thread to ask if any of you know where I can get made to measure gloss blinds please? I was searching the web for some reliable companies that sell wooden blinds and came across the idea of gloss wooden blinds in this paragraph: Available in four different slat widths (25mm, 35mm, 50mm and 63mm) this natural product provides a warm and contemporary look to any room. Like its sister product the Venetian, a made to measure wooden blind is also extremely versatile and allows excellent light control as well as complete privacy. We have a wood colour to match any furniture and also now available in the ultra modern and funky gloss black and white. Direct Blinds also now offer the new and innovative privacy range exclusively to you, not readily available online.
Do you know if these things exist and how would they look or did I misunderstand the text? Here they specify the dimensions of the slats but I am in need of others, so custom made blinds for me. Any advice would be good, thanks in advance!

We got our blinds from http://www.blinds-2go.co.uk/

They are fine, and easier than cutting things to size myself.

DR - if you're in Elstree, get yourself to St Albans market on a Wednesday or Saturday. There's a stall outside the Town Hall that makes to measure according to your every whim!

Re: Anyone know where to get wooden blinds?

we have 6 sets ranging from small, 0.5m downstairs bathroom to large 2.5m kitchen window sets in painted and natural wood, all from these folks

    http://www.keeleysblinds.co.uk/

can't recommend them enough. they're very cheap, quick delivery and pretty easy to install. come with all required fittings etc.

if you want photos of any of ours give me a yell if that would help
if it ain't broke...fix it till it is

I hope DR has got his blinds - seven years after first asking!

Maybe from the blind man in the village.
