White Knight because of the price and the fact that they seem to go on for years. Also thats the only product that the company makes, they don't make anything else so well worth spending the money on.

Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer

I've got a hotpoint condenser and It's great, I've got no outside wall on the kitchen side of the flat so couldn't use a vented one.

It's the entry level hotpoint as I couldn't afford anything more expensive, can get a few washes out of it before needing to empty it (and emptying it is so satisfying for some reason!)

I went for Hotpoint as they have tended to be quite reliable, so my mummy says. I've got a Hotpoint washer so I needed the set!

I bow down to your mighty knowlegde, there was a time when I was pretty upto date on makers of white good products (working in Curry's has that effect on you) but these days I'm not so bothered.

TBH, neither had I, that's why I googled them.

Me, I have a Candy condenser (washer) dryer, which has given a year's impeccable service so far.

Just to confirm, you can get washer/driers with Sensor Drying?

I'm just about to buy a new one and need to have a look for a decent one.

Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer

My washer dryer has sensor drying (i.e. does 'ironing dry', 'cupboard dry' etc.), but they tend to leave the dryer going for ages - I prefer to jsut stick it on for 60 or 90mins and see how it's going after that.

Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer

What about a spin dryer? Cheaper than a tumble dryer, takes up less room, uses less electricity, removes a lot of water and then hang outside for shorter time.

If coupled with a tumble dryer it will supposedly shave 30 mins off the default program. It's something I'm looking into at the moment as with flats nowhere to hang laundry. Who designed these buildings.

White knight tumble dryer have a gas version which is cheaper to run. Might be worth looking at if you have somewhere to connect it to. I like the Bosch range. Beko do decent no frills models.
