Looking for a Tumble Dryer
hi. i live in a single/studio hospital accomodation flat. now as far as i know we are not allowed to install a washing machine so i thought why not just buy a tumble dryer so it saves me time while i wait for my clothes to dry rather waiting outside and as far as i know it doesn't require any complex installation.
im looking for a conderser-type tumble dryer to put on my small kitchen. any sugestions guys?
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
If you can't have a washing machine then how come you can have a washer dryer ?? Exectly the same as a washing machine just with the dryer part in it.
As for installation so long as you have the right water inlets there and a waste pipe then you don't need to do anything different. All washer dryers are condensing, I have never seen a vented one.
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
my mistake. ive amended my question.
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
I'm confused.
What are you looking for, a tumble dryer that dosen't require the standard outlet pipe?
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
Now that makes more sense :)
Pretty much any of them really will do, you can pick up a condensor dryer for about £200 depending on make, they are all pretty much the same really so why the price of them is sp expensive for exactly the same thing in a different make is beyond me.
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
they might do all the same but they have energy-efficient ratings and there is the issue of parts, service, etc. any specific makes that you guys can recommend?
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
They are all a C rating, and I assure you that all parts are pretty much the same no matter what make you go for.
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
can you atleast maybe recommend a make?
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
Sorry mate, Hotpoint, White Knight, Zanussi are all pretty good for tumble dryers. Avoid Indesit like the black death.
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
thanks very much. i will buy one and will let you know.
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
any more advice on what feature to look for in a tumble dryer?
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
Something with sensor drying, because it will only stop once the clothes are dry and not carry on even of they are, that way you save on electric and your bills will be that much lower too. Other than that mate thats all I can really say to you, choose the one that you think is the right one for you.
Whats your budget out of interest ?? You might be able to pick a fairly decent one up second hand if you don't want to spend lots of money on a new one and save yourself £50 - £100.

Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
You'll get something decent for £250 :)
Re: Looking for a Washer Dryer
