So, Mattress Toppers - anyone have tips?

    What do i look for?

Most are equal, some are amazing?

I have a pretty firm mattress, been on holiday recently and noticed most hotel beds have a top layer of cushion, it works.

IKEA do many different types. Memory foam, latex etc. They are essentially the same additional layering you'd find inside some of their mattresses. Good for revitalizing old mattresses.

Just remember to take it off in the summer, or you'll roast alive.

Re: So, Mattress Toppers - anyone have tips?

i constantly switch between using my matress topper and then not using it, i find that using it for too long gives me a bad back, i stop using it and go back to plain mattress and again after a while i get a bad back so i switch to the mattress topper... you get the idea

They may be expensive but White Company make some brilliant ones, I think they might have a sale on right now.

I think they make ones with memory foam too now, I have a memory foam layer in my mattress and it's very comfy!

Re: So, Mattress Toppers - anyone have tips?

    Oh life,

So i spent 4 days at a hotel with the worlds firmest mattress, it actually did me a world of good, it seems that making the body fight to get comfortable against a firm surface actually triggers a load of the smaller muscles to get to work.

Anyway, I think i'm going to 180 and get a firm mattress instead of making my current one even softer
