I don't have one. It makes me angry.
I feel like a paradox in the making...

mine is better now....
but the pipes, cables for power shower pumps, and the amount of bloody bog rolls stored in there is still far from ideal...
but I was too angry last night to continue with clearing it... I needed to KILL things half way through![]()

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
Bit of a thread resurrection, but having moved house, and seen how badly airing cupboard space was used, I doid a little DiY job a couple of weeks ago...
This one shows the shelf frame in position,. and also shows the wasted space at the side of the tank. I did think about moving the pump and pipework to the side of the tank, but once I had fitted the frames to some existing side supports, I wouldn'ty have gained much, for the plumbing work in moving it.
So, an hour or so later, I have a new shelf, for airing stuff, and a tidier airing cupboard
Only a small job, but well worth doing!
I might raise the shelf by about 3mm, and put in a shorter length of wood where the gap is - just up to the pump, although it probably wouldn't add much space, it would look neater.

Ours is jammed full or crap.
Hoover, towels, dirty clothes basket and bog roll.
No matter how often i tidy it, the wife seems to make a mess of it, even if i have put extra shelves in it or more hooks.
Our true airing cupboard (i.e. the one with the hot water tank in it) is of considerably more limited use now we've got a bigger hot water tank, the pump for the bath and the main unit for the wireless shower in it. Small amount of space at the top and room for a couple of shirts etc to hang, but that is about it.
The other hallway cupboard has all the storage space - including the home server and switches that run the network![]()
socks
i found one of my lost long socks at the back of the airing cupboard. i now have another pair of socks
theres also some coats i havent worn since i was at school back in 1998.
towels, loads and loads and loads of towels, big fluffy ones that mum got from bidupTV for £1 a set,
and theres also some bed sheets, but theyve been in there so long that no-one can remember whos they actually were, so we just leave them there gathering warmth from the boiler/boiler tank.
Peterb has done what I did ages ago... got some extra shelf space made... moving it up and down a tad makes a big difference.
I also now leave 4 clothes pegs in there.... so when I'm changing the duvet covers over, I can peg the corners... and the pegs are where the duvet cover is stored.
I love process... you can always make processes a bit better.
