Your airing cupboard: How ANGRY does it make you?

Do things fall out every time you open it?

Do you have silly plastic baskets that don't actually hold all the spare toiletries that you've accumulated, which are piled high with spare sponges and weird shaped bottles from 3 christmas's ago?

Do your towels fold up properly in a pile.... or are they ALL different sizes and shapes and do they block your every move?

Do you have a spare bath mat that you just never use.. ....
Is the metal hook for the loft hatch in there.. and does it fall out every time you open the door?

Do you have one of those Ikea door hangers over the top edge, which is there to hold shirts on hangers but which stops the door closing quite right?

Do you have a charity bag?

    I do.......

    it's full now.

Your turn.. vent your airing cupboard fury!

Re: Your airing cupboard: How ANGRY does it make you?

My wife leaves her hair dryer/GHDs lying in it, the cables fall out every time I open it, I used the toilet-roll trick for a while but stopped when I realised it was me doing it rather than her so just stopped.

Our other cupboard used to have a large freestanding fan in it, got in the way no end, managed to fob that off on my dad, bliss

My airing cupboard leaves me filled with an inner peace...

... because I can always remind myself, I only rent the room, not the house therefore it's not my problem!

Re: Your airing cupboard: How ANGRY does it make you?

Towels not as bad as they used to be.
Over door hanger is over actual bathroom door, also impairing closure (not so good).
Plastic baskets etc in a cube-y cupboardy thing, so relatively well-behaved.
Loft hatch is on landing, ditto.

But - do have to contort & squint to check central heating pressure gauge & top up, very awkward -
also have thick layer of felt-like dust on the tank lagging (well it's all insulation!)
Anything that can fall down between tank and inside cupboard will, and then can only be retrieved with something poky or long-handled gripper whatsit, with the attendant fear of bringing a hairy airing cupboard spider up with it.

Re: Your airing cupboard: How ANGRY does it make you?

Well at least something made me smile today (by which I mean you nutters on here...)

Just got off a support call with a customer from hell, was going to get some beer but the car has a flat tyre. It was serviced yesterday and I haven't driven it today so it either happened at the garage or on the 2 mile trip back from the garage. And it's still raining out there and it's already gone dark.

    WHY, CRUEL WORLD, WHY?!?

    Very. It's too small.

Isn't enough room in there to drown a mouse !

My airing cupboard would be just fine if half the space wasn't taken up with some big hot water tank thingy...
