Utility Warehouse?

Anyone with these and or been with them?
If so any advice, is it actually cheaper and is the service good.

I am new to paying energy bills and swapping my student house over from a standard pricey rate with npower, comparing the rates seems a lot cheaper

npower want 31p charge each day for gas and then another 20p for electricity and then the rates are like 9p and 11p at the best in the day (after the first load etc)

Utility warehouse only charge about 10p charge per day and they start at a lower price of 13p but stay they price, so cheaper at first then more expensive if you use a lot of energy.

So any advice?

I am with them, no complaints and they guarantee to be cheaper then the big 6 energy companies. I had a quick look a while ago on the comparison sites and they came out cheaper by around £150. I am a low-medium user of gas & elec. Not really had many dealers with their customer service, but when I have they have been good. Bills are laid out in a usable manner, all itemised.

If you do go with them, please let me know. We both get a few % off our bills if you recommend a friend (something like that anyway!) :)

think the guy I live with has aims on being recommended by his folks but if he doesn't sort it soon then yer np will let you know.

No worries mate. We were with them at uni after finding them pretty cheap. It is bloody hard work comparing gas & elec suppliers though, let alone individual tariffs. :)

yep, especially without usage figures, we have been comparing at its impossible, but thankfully I found the rates in pence per K/w so realised its cheaper, never mind the massively cheaper daily charge.

if you could keep me updated on what you find id be grateful, be nice knowing whether they are still cheaper then the rest! ;)

So far I have only found that it seems to be on two fronts.

Daily charge 10p vs 30p so saves quite a bit, on their site they say it ends up £100 a year compared to £300, then you have rates.

This is strange because elec for example utility is 11p all day, never changes, n power are 13 for first chunk and then 9p, so depends on how much you use I suppose.

However Utility warehouse have a strange system where the more you use, the higher the charge but the lower the rate.

well it appears it was cheaper then my standard tariff because that one is made to take the michael but not cheaper then the cheaper fairs on comapre websites, so moved to EDF fixed.
