I'm the same, I'm in melt down this time of year, but I wear jeans and a tshirt all year round

As said, my girlfriend loves it, I'm her personal blanket...

Yes. It's low with a low pulse rate. Nurse said that's just cos I'm fit

Which is what I suspected. Your heat is due to your throbbing inner core developed by years of fitness training. Girls have probably told you that you're 'hot'. It happens to me all the time

Disclaimer: this does not constitute actual medical advice... (though I am a doctor).

Have you had this checked out at any point? If you really do feel the heat more than others, there are a couple of medical conditions that can cause that. Of course without really talking to you in person and examining you I couldn't know whether it sounds like it or not, but you could, for example, have hyperthyroidism.

If it bothers you or you have any other symptoms it's probably worth seeing the GP. I doubt you have anything worrying based on what you've said so far (for example low pulse rate would be unusual with hyperthyroidism), but of course, as per the disclaimer above I can't diagnose over a forum!

    Re: Being Warm Blooded

I tend to give off more or less heat depending on the state of my skin and immune system. If its over compensating my skin goes south, i flake out, give off heat like noones business and subsequently feel colder. Kinda frustrating as when I feel cold my skin is usually a red raw mess and wooly jumpers/scarves and dry heating like radiators usually serve to do nothing but irritate it.

    Re: Being Warm Blooded

Another hot person here. Quite common for me to sleep on top of the covers and before the missus gets into bed, I will lie on her side first (as it's cool) and get it warm for her, she says it's like a hot water bottle has been on there.

I do the cold shower / cold water thing to but really suffer with the hot, sticky, London weather.

I do have high blood pressure though - controlled - not sure that makes any difference?

I like this thread as I thought it was just me!

    Re: Being Warm Blooded

im also a bit of a sufferer. I emit loads of heat and will often sleep in winter with a thin duvet and the window open. I really struggle to sleep in the summer and will often go months with only a couple of hours sleep per night because i just cant settle in the heat Funny thing is im still quite sensitive to the cold, if it gets too cold then i will be REALLY cold... like a really narrow threshold if that makes sense?
Only recently got myself a girlfriend after a while of being single but she also seems to like it... problem is once she is warmed up i get all her body heat aswell and it makes the situation worse

It's more common than you'd give it credit for isn't it? Mrs. Tumble is ALWAYS telling me I'm too hot...

    Re: Being Warm Blooded

Nearly all my previous girlfriends have called me the human radiator as I tend to be boiling all the time and in comes in handy in winter for some impromptu cuddling sessions, which always usually tends to lead to other things so who am I to complain

I just thought it was a side-effect of being able to eat what I wanted without ballooning in weight as it was my bodys way of getting rid of the calories instead of storing them as fat.

My hands tend to be the worst though, at times they are quite hot which is weird.

    Re: Being Warm Blooded

Good to know I am not the only one who suffers during the summer! I tend to eat fairly healthy, go to the gym a lot and keep pretty fit so i don't think it is health related. Never had my blood pressure tested though, but seeing as it is so common I guess it is just natural.

It's at night which really drives me mad. i find myself checking the forecast & temp gauges to work out how miserable I will be when I try and get some sleep!

    Re: Being Warm Blooded

    Another "human radiator" here.

No idea what causes it, but I'm almost always hot and usually sleep without a duvet.

Once had acupuncture (just to see what it's like!) and the acupuncturist commented on the heat I was radiating. She reckoned regular acupuncture was the cure, but I'm not paying someone to stick needles in me every other day.

Not sure if it's related, but I also find that insects are attracted to me. I'm forever getting bitten by mosquitoes (or some other annoying pest) and I do wonder if they're attracted to the heat.

    Re: Being Warm Blooded

Oh good I thought I was the only one! It tends to be more noticeable in the winter months. I still seem to suffer all year round, but the radiating heat seems to be more a winter thing.
