haha that reminds me of the time they performed on Top of the Pops when I was young and impressionable... years of therapy because Anthony Keidis liked kilts

Violence and Lubrication is the solution to fixing everything, if it still doesn't work, you need more lubrication.

Haha just a little, you're getting there though. Start by trying to finish the bottle

Re: Knoxvilles guide to creating desk lamps from old liquor bottles

I did that as a bit of a joke, but it's still there, exactly like that, because the light seems better like that.

It's nice when thinks just work out like that.

Once I've finished a bottle and got myself some of them drill bits, I'm gonna give the proper lamp a go, would definitely like a JD lamp on my desk, I mean, what better way to say "I may have a drinking problem" than to have a JD lamp

Lying in a gutter soaked in your own urine with no idea where you are and thinking "I could do with a beer" ??? Or a JD lamp, your call

If I made one of these it'd have to be a Woodford Reserve one. Classy!

Re: Knoxvilles guide to creating desk lamps from old liquor bottles

I was thinking of doing a Bulleit Bourbon bottle at some point, very similar design I just need to come up with something that looks like whiskey to put inside.. Maybe if I varnish a few glass beads

BTW Guys, it's an obscenely cheeky plug but voting ends in the "Make it Glow" challenge I have these lamps and the tutorial for making them entered into tonight -

    http://www.instructables.com/contest/glow/

If anyone would be kind enough to throw me a vote or two it'd be much appreciated I don't think there's a snowballs chance in a cat scanner I'm going to win because most of the entries have a clear months head start in the voting but it's worth a shot

    Great lamps!
Just one point, be VERY careful with the dust from the glass, it is lethal.
Humans, the only animal stupid enough to pay to live on the planet Earth.

Yeah I know, not nice stuff to have in your lungs at all! Using this method ensures the water run off takes care of that issue though
