Did anyone get one? If so what have you got and how do you find it?
    Hi,

There are few things to consider before buying a whole house water softener. I had bad odour problem from our well water and researched a lot to getting rid of it. A whole-house system is definitely an optimal choice in this regards.

But before buying you just need to find out your requirements. How many family members at home? Because you 'll be able to find the best unit for yourself only If you know how much water do you consume per day? How hard is your water? because if the hardness level of your water is more than 100mcg then the single tank would not work for you. As you have mentioned your budget of £500 so I recommend reading the buying guide here before you make a buying decision.

Install the water softener yourself, then you have to spend some time researching the water quality and the water softener that suits you. Generally speaking, Fleck and Aquasure are trustworthy. I own a Fleck water softener, which is mainly used to filter iron in hard water. Works well.
