Anyone used The Mark Group for cavity wall insulation?

Hi peterb,

Did you have the cavity walls done in the end? The Mark Group are still offering free insulation in Sunny Soton so was just wondering if you took the plunge...and if so, how did it go?

Due today the 28th at 8am, turned up at 7.45, both dirty Eastern Europeans , stunk like they had not had a bath for a month !! We was just about to take our 12 boxes out the loft and one of them climbs up the ladder and comes back down refusing to work up there. We told him he was early but the thick pole did not seem to understand and they packed up and left.. We rung Mark group and told them where to poke it..

Please dont use them - they are completely incompetent - Initially all the survey forms that were completed by 10 flat owners were lost. I had to coordinate collating the second round of survey reports - not an easy job in a large block. The work was not carried out - nobody new what was going on - I was constantly reassured that all was going ahead..... As 94 days had passed without the work being done it was cancelled. We have lost out on free insulation. Other companies could have done the job!!!

They did ours a couple of years ago as part of some sort of partly-subsidised by the energy company type deal. All went okay as far as I can tell - no complaints here.
