    Thumbs up Self assembly sofas

Anyone ever bought one of these? http://www.intosofa.com/

Was quite drawn to the idea; unfortunately all the sofa back heights are lower than I'm after. Still a good idea though, and I liked the video a lot especially when the chap's glasses fell off around 5.48 in.

Rosie appeared to get bored halfway through.................I got bored after 30 seconds.....so If you are going to buy one of these make sure your Rosie watches the whole video, then she can put the sofa together while you are down the pub having a beer!!

^ Ah well, if a Yorkshireman putting a sofa together in real time with 2 Jack Russells isn't your idea of a quirky short, so be it. Having a Jack Russell worked for 'The Artist'.

No I'd like to put the sofa together myself, that's the point. I'm still seriously tempted.

    Re: Self assembly sofas

I took delivery of a Nabru self-assembly sofa last week - in fact I've just come back upstairs from smashing up the pallet it was delivered on.

    http://www.nabru.co.uk/

Mine's a bright red corner sofa - two seats on one side, a single wide-ish seat on the other. It's brill, and cost less than £600. It took us maybe two or three hours to assemble. Getting the boards inserted into the seat cushions was the hardest part - took a bit of readjusting once we'd figured it out.

Also, if you remember the HEXUS.tv TCAAC videos and other interviews... they were on a Nabru sofa. That's not a HEXUS endorsement, but it is fact

"Assembly in minutes" says site. 180-ish minutes, then. Interesting that it's all slot-together & no bolts, compared to intosofa. By their video, it took 2 blokes to build it & 4 extra ones to come in at the end with the cushions, lol.

    Urban took long enough.

    Re: Self assembly sofas

Depends what you're building I guess. A two-seater sofa would be pretty easy simply because there's nothing to get wrong. With a four-seat corner sofa it's important to get the right things in the right place, because some of them look very similar to others... but aren't! And of course... contrary to other aspects of life, the first time takes longer.
