Kirby's, although expensive are very good quality, my uncle sold them for a while, well I say sold them, he was voted the worst salesman as in 6 months he only sold 2, 1 to himself & 1 to his mother. That was 29 years ago & his is still going (dunno what happened to my grans after she died, but guess it was sold)
Good thing about Henry's, what ever or where ever you use it to suck dirt or the odd nugget, it always has a smile on it's face![]()
Spend the extra money on a Miele, you'll never buy another make again. Mainly because you won't need to, German engineering at its finest.
Another vote here for Henry, we've just had a load of work done to our house and that little vacuum dealt with all the brickdust/sawdust etc etc
Didnt even break a sweat!![]()
Dyson, no bags to change or clog. The reality lives up to the hype, unusually.

You just have very expensive filters to change + clog instead. Despite the 'no loss of suction' claims, I frequently hear of the tiny root cyclone ducts need cleaning/filters need replacing etc. With a bag you spend next to nothing to sort it...
I've got a henry xtra. Its just a regular henry with air powered brush head (they do a more expensive powered version). Its the only vacuum cleaner I've found that touches my cats long hair. The other 'pet' hoovers I've had didn't do a thing. Its been rock solid for me and having a bag is a good thing in my opinion - no dust cloud when empting it!
Also my mother had a standard henry for 10 years and only replaced with a new one when the tube broke (She could have got a spare tube but decided for another £50 to get a new one).
I don't think you'll get a better hoover for ~£100 and I reckon it will beat most £200 hoovers!
Can the air powered brush head be attached to a regular Henry? We could do with a beater brush for all the dog and cat hair.
