Maplin? That's where I get mine from...
Personally use http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/
I normally associate Maplin with expensive - but they are doing x10 for £19.99 - good price and great if you can pick up in person!
Just remember to not touch the bulbs with bare skin - grease causes hotspots, causes early blowouts.
I did try low energy GU10s in my kitchen - the last one didn't even make it to 18 months old.
Might give LEDs a try - last time I looked they were about £15 each, half that now.
I've purchased my LED bulbs from www.agreensupply.com Just checked their website and found out that they've got GU10 bulbs too. Hope that helps.
I've tired LEDs and they don't see to brighten up the room to the extend of normal GU10's.
I still use the basic cheapo GU10's which you can get 10 for around £5-7 on Amazon or auction sites. At that price it doesn't really matter if they go pop early.
