    Re: Show us your gardens!

Will try to get some photos up, being disabled someone else tends to my garden for a good price, but they are only looking after what I have done in the past, as they just keep on top of it.

They were here when I moved in . Quite simple though, just slotted strips of wood with thick polythene liners holding the compost. I think they were home made.

To start this off, a couple of my garden. I moved house earlier this year, from a largish garden to one a little smaller - which the agent described as "a blank canvas"

This is what it looked like just after I moved in

IO've got some flowers in pots, but they are a bit messy at the moment!

So after six months, I have dug out the first bit of a vegetable patch, where I will be planting some runner beans. This is a work -in-progress, so I'll post some more as the mood takes me!

oih.. Peterb... straight lines? you're as bad as me!

Smaller gardens needs angles and curves... so that new veg bed needs to bea triangle. Then you'll also get better access at one end of it and make room for some companion planting.. ie marigolds to attract hover flies to eat the insects.

9 Marigolds went in yesterday afternoon! I was a bit late planting the seeds (3 weeks ago) but they all germinated and now transplanted!. Another photo to follow!

Yamangman - now THAT is impressive!

With you on this. You can't drink beer without getting smoke in your eyes and having to move round with the wind. I find it helps keep away the inlaws!

Nice gardens guys, we have a paved area with weeds growing through the cracks at the moment so my gardening is going to be some weedkiller when it dries out.

    Re: Show us your gardens!

Hah thanks guys. It has taken some years to get it like this and I can't take all the credit for that, and I've had lots of people very generously given me plants and tools, especially the wonderful old dears who look after their alloments adjacent to mine!

Most importantly a spot to to sit back and see it from this time of year:

Oh and keep up the work Peter, it's looking marvellous.
