Night Vision Camera
I'm looking for a cheap Night Vision Camera that I can use to watch our cars which are packed infront of our house.
We are able to pack two cars on our drive in line untill it reaches the street path, so the Night Vision has to be good enough for that distance.
Internet enabled and all that is a must and also buying from eBay only. :p
Anyone can help please?

Are you having trouble with your cars? Are people damaging them?

Re: Night Vision Camera
if you are on the budget then an IP cam with IR would be an option as true nightvision cameras are very expensive.
a few things to bear in mind:
- the range of IR leds shown in the camera's specs is way too optimistic. Most of the times it won't be usable with half of the shown distance. (there's an option to buy separate IR lights though)
- Image quality will be crap, you won't be able to recognise anyone on the recordings (at night that is)
- If you want to use it with wifi then it'll cause inconveniences (even worse image quality, dropouts in signal etc)
- They can be easily rendered useless (IR lights pointed at them, reflective clothing, etc)
I would install a fake camera and put up signs that the area is protected by CCTV. Much cheaper and has the same deterrent value.

Re: Night Vision Camera
The night vision cameras are very expensive. Why don't you put a extra lights on the drive and use standart camera if you want to have security camera. If some one is damaging your cars may be if there is more light he will not do it.
