Socks

I kid you not folks, this thread is about socks!

I need to buy new socks for work. I wear a suit and black loafers most days. However, my socks (cheap ones from Tesco, Primark etc) don't last a tick. 2 days use and there will be a hole in them.

Where do you peeps get your socks and where would you recommend for good socks which are durable and will last?

Yeah for that size, standard "fits all" socks are no good. I'm about size 11, and get the 11.5-14 size socks from Next. They last much longer than 2 days!

Nice, but at 26.60 a pair, a week's worth would be expensive....

I'm a size 10.5 so I can't speak from experience, mine only bobble which drives me mad, but this site does some larger socks

Stop buying such cheap ones then I find bamboo fibre socks (which used to be available at Tesco) lasted about twice the time 100% cotton ones did, which in turn were a good 50-100% better than cheaper ones from the same shop.

I used to buy cheap ones and all I had was holes. I was given a pair of bamboo socks from Joules for Christmas and they are brilliant. They're not cheap but they're totally worth it imo.
