I've not used an aerogarden before but I have used hydroponics and depending on the plants they can be very good.
The only thing I'd add is whatever you want to grow it would need to be a fairly short plant based on the footprint of the aerogarden (approx 40 x 27cm for the one I saw), so no good for certain plantsthat apparently can grow to over 8ft tall!
the tomato plants where very fruitfull but most I gave to local hospice I hear there good for that sort of thing ..

Cultivation of some plants in this country is illegal. End of.

My duck agrees , but says their not usually that quack unless you make them quacker.
