Small DIY question. Cupboard door hinge has come off. Cheap wood
I rent this place, the cupboard door hinge got loose so I took it off, the holes were already threaded.
What should I fill the holes with to then be able to screw back in secure? Thanks :help:

break some match sticks off In the holes; wood glue them in if you have some glue. Let it dry and then screw away.

+1
I've repaired the same thing that way. I had to do it twice though - the first time the PVA wasn't quite as dry as I thought. The second time, I left it to dry for a couple of days - it was still solid a couple of years later when we sold the house.

Right so fill the hole with ends of matchsticks, wood glue, leave for days and days, then attempt to screw in.
will try! thanks

It'll dry over night. don't fill it, enough to get traction should be fine.

if all else fails rotate the door through 180 degrees and hang in on the other side where the carcase is still good
