I do have £18 spare. I also have two Workmates that I've had for about 30 years. What I don't have is space for a 3rd one. Nor do I have the deathwish buying another one would imply, when 'management' found out.

When I need something larger than two workmates will handle, I get management to hold the extra bit. It's less messy and far safer than your suggestion for management.

Besides, when was the last time you got a cuddle from a spare B&D Workmate, or one cooked your dinner?
