Really low table - coffe or otherwise

Looking for a really low coffee table to fit under another like thisthat's about 25 cm in height , but ideally a lot cheaper ( under £30 if possible )

Doesn't have to be in wood - just do the job .

    Any suggestions would be welcomed.

I'd be very surprised if you could get something that small - think it will need modifying.

Cut the legs and paint/varnish it? Bare in mind that pine likes to split when you cut it

Argos one will probably be easier to modify being fixed legs. I have a few pieces of their solid pine furniture, it's not bad quality at all for the price. If you're planning to put drinks or such on it a lick of varnish is a good idea though (pine swells and warps when wet).

hmm thanks , I hear pine was prone to cracking but it should be fine.

I have cheapo Argos table already too ( beech synthetic wood )which looks decent enough and is sturdy , so no complaints , the other table is just to house my printer to clear up some space.
