Pure water and a microfibre cloth will do the best job especially on windows that are just a bit dirty. If they're really dirty then use a bog standard applicator and squeegee with a mix of soap, water and vinegar.
I use pure water to clean my car and it does a great job.

only need a little drop after giving them a wash down.

Cleaning = steam cleaner. Drying = either the rubber blade thingy windows cleaners tend to use, a microfibre cloth, or a Karcher WindowVac, depending on how lazy I'm feeling.
Cleaning the windows inside I usually use Mr. Muscle and the outside using water + fairy liquid.
Car windows using wet wipes in the inside and outside just water or it is really dirty bucket of warm water + fairy liquid.
Wilko's window cleaner with anti-misting. Same for car interior, don't bother with anything special for car exterior.
cant believe noone has suggested a ukelele
i got a autoglym microfibre cloth a while back to wipe it off when dry, you only need a small pea size or 2 for a windscreen, i use the perfect palm applicator to put it on so i don't get any on the fabric trim surrounds. i think it suggests leaving it on for a fair while before polishing off, almost like it is waxed the way water beads off it.
Ooh! Ooh!
Karcher window vac WV60.
When I was bought one I thought someone was taking the piss but honestly, one of my favourite gadgets I own! Very satisfying piece of kit to use.
I use CC Cleaner, does a great job of getting rid of all those nasty files.
Wait a minute........
this is not in the tech part of the forum.:censored:
:stupid:
i use vinegar and a newspaper. was told that by my step mum years ago and it still works. nice and streak free. car smells like a chippy after though
Well Mr. Muscle is the best product for cleaning the windows, we are using that from many years and never face any problem.. Mr. Muscle window cleaner clean properly the window and can remove the hardest strains. But you have to just wait for few minutes after apply that on window.

If you need to clean upvc window frames, doors etc, i'd recommend any cheap old cream cleaner. I used Tesco value on mine when we moved into our new house and it brought them up lovely. As its non abrasive it will not damage the surface which could affect any UV protection on them.
Outside, wash them with a rag, washing up liquid & hot water, dry (roughly with old newspaper will do) then cheapo poundland white vinegar and squeegee.
Inside, white vinegar & squeegee.
Car? Can't help, don't drive.
Rain-X windscreen cleaner for me. Not just a good glass cleaner but has rain repellant in it which is handy when driving.
We have a shower with glass screens, and it is superb with that. Makes the water (50% chalk, or feels like it) run off so reduced how often I have to clean the shower.
. If they're really dirty then use a bog standard applicator and squeegee with a mix of soap, water and vinegar.
So these WindowVac machines...a lot of it relies on having a really good clean anyway, and then using this machine to suck up the water that hangs around right?
A brick?? :P
