Says 40deg, I think it's synthetic Ikea, but it's huge, should I really stuff that into my average sized washing machine?
Am I going to break something? I was gonna put it on delicate cycle

Unless you have a large drum I would take it to either a laundrette or a dry cleaners. If it is stuffed too compact then it simply won't wash. How do I know? Kittens poop is not easy to clean off them!

Pics of kittens?
I mean, Thanks for the advice! I'm a man

large drum, need about 10kg capacity because double duvets soak a lot of water up and get very heavy when washing.
drum will not spin atall or very little, motor will get hot or burn out, thing will go ping, whoosh, "why is there a hole in the window?" otherwise
and where's the fuzzly wuzzly kitten pics chadders?

Ok will call local dry cleaners for advice/price, thanks
Unless you have a large capacity washer go to the laundrette, or just buy a new duvet to be honest. They don't need anything special like dry cleaning, just cool and delicate spinning, but they are big.

by 'get rid of' I hope you mean - gave to another loving family, and not bashed in its head with a brick
back on topic: a few months ago, my mum bought one of those Samsung eco bubble machines.
its supposed to be eco but im just not seeing it do that. old 8kg machine took 1.5 hours for a full load, this eco one takes 2.5 hours for the same size load. has done 3 hours for larger stuff. so does ECO mean does stuff slowly?
the bubble machine is the 12kg drum one (or was it the 11, not sure now) bought it for £400 ish with vouchers from the co-op store. it is wider than the standard size machines, so for people with fitted units you'll need adjustments. fits queen size duvets in it, whatever you can stuff in it.
I think its got a duvet/sheet option on the pre-select screen, so other than that, I have no suggestion on what setting to use when you go down the laundrette (which is the point I was making with this rambling post).
edit to save posting a new post: its the 11kg one my mum has. and its only the duvet cover we wash, the downy, fluffy bit inside we don't wash.
I get mixed up with terminology of thins easily, hope you lot understand

12kg.. that's a mega load!
ECO is often slower - ours is as well on the eco setting (can compare as has non-eco setting too), but uses less water and possibly electricity.
At the lower temps, the detergents/additives/enzymes used work far slower, hence needing longer to soak.
We bought an AEG with a duvet setting but don't plan on using it, I was once told by a service engineer that they (engineers) see a fair number of healthy machines utterly killed by their 'duvet' settings. Home machines just aren't built for the job, it's far better to take it to a laundrette and have it done properly.
