Re: how best to treat mould
Hi Ed14 - I have moved this thread to our home and garden forum where people should be able to advise. Welcome to HEXUS!
Re: how best to treat mould
Leave the window open unless it's raining. Dehumidify a LOT. Mould resistant paint can work quite well, otherwise keep treating with mild bleach.

Is it possible to install trickle vents on the windows? http://shop.windowrepairshop.co.uk/Trickle-Vents
Not as effective as air bricks but an easy job you can do yourself with a drill.

Be nice to it, will grow on you in time
/gets coat..
Re: how best to treat mould
I've found mould remover spray works the best. Clean the wall with it then soak the wall with it and leave it to dry. Remission time seems to be greater than mild bleach alone.
You're never going to stop the mould if you don't fix the damp problem tho. Check your guttering when its raining. If its leaking then that could be the cause of the damp.
