I've got a beko fridge/freezer that is over 9 years old and it has survived two house moves and its still going strong. I also have a beko dishwasher that 3~4 years old that doesn't miss a beat (I do a filter wash and then run it on highest temp with half a cup of white vinegar in it once in awhile for maintenance - never used dishwasher cleaners). I understand why you feel that way but I've nothing but praise for them myself. They were cheap too which was super important to me at the time (The FF was for my first house).

On the subject of washing machines I've got a LG direct drive model. Its quiet but does vibrate a bit knocking the door next to it despite my best efforts to stop it. Worth considering as an alternative to the Samsung ecobubbles...

Edit: Forgot I've also got a beko tumble dryer too (Got it at the same time as the LG when my old washer/dryer packed up). Its in the garage so it does get forgotten.

My wife would veto any Beko appliance in the house after: http://www.itv.com/news/2014-09-26/b...d-deadly-fire/

though I expect after that knock to their image in reality they are probably the least likely to kill you of all the manufacturers as let's face it they can't have that happen again.

We're on our second Indesit washing machine - the first one lasted 11 years and this one is 8 years old and hasn't skipped a beat.

When this one dies, we'll be buying another Indesit.

    thanks mate.

So we ordered a Logik freezer from currys and a Samsung WM from AO.com So far AO has rung me to try and push extra protection under the guise of "checking my order is ok". And this on an item with a 5yr guarantee as standard!

We nearly ordered a fridge but apparently free-standing is not the same as "under counter" and we need to have an under counter machine... Can anyone tell me what would happen if we don't get the (smaller and more expensive) under counter version and just use the free standing one? Just how much ventilation is required?
